Begin with breakfast
Take a slow first lap before reaching for your camera. The food stalls are a good place to pause and see what is being cooked. Point to a dish you like, ask the price and choose a seat where you can keep bags out of the aisle.
Look before you photograph
A busy stall is a workplace. Ask before taking a portrait and step aside when people carry baskets through. If you buy cloth, ask about its material and how to wash it. A small conversation can tell you more than a quick photograph.
